Parent Advisory Council 2009-2010
Our Parent Advisory Council (P.A.C.) consists of every parent or guardian with a student attending Shannon Lake Elementary. A slate of executive members is elected by the membership in May. The P.A.C. has traditionally met once a month from 6:300 to 8:00 pm in the school library to discuss school news, provide input on policies and procedures, and conduct the business of the council. From time to time the P.A.C. invites guest speakers to provide information sessions on topics of interest to parents. Over the years, the P.A.C. has undertaken projects such as fun fairs, craft sales, bingo, book fairs, raffles and family dances to provide as a community service and fundraiser for school projects.
